Sidhu amid Punjab Congress crisis

Taking to Twitter, Sidhu posted images of Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their delivery anniversaries. 

“Will uphold rules of Gandhi Ji & Shastri Ji … Publish or No Publish will stand by @RahulGandhi & @priyankagandhi ! Let all damaging forces attempt to defeat me, however with each ounce of optimistic vitality will make Punjab win, Punjabiyat (Common Brotherhood) win & each Punjabi win !! (sic)” he wrote. 

Sidhu had abruptly resigned because the Punjab Congress chief as he was upset with some appointments after Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi took cost, Sidhu had put in his papers and, although efforts had been made to placate him, it stays unclear if his resignation has been accepted.

Stories had earlier claimed that the highest management of the celebration has not accepted Sidhu’s resignation and requested the state celebration unit to resolve the matter at its personal stage.

After a bitter combat between the then chief minister Amarinder Singh and Sidhu, the Congress took a name to interchange Amarinder with Channi.

Nevertheless, Amarinder Singh vowed to defeat Sidhu if he contests the meeting elections, dubbed Gandhi siblings as “inexperienced” and later introduced that he’ll go away the celebration.

Singh had on Thursday made it clear that he was not becoming a member of the BJP, however stated he had no intention of constant within the Congress, which, he stated, was going downhill, with senior celebration leaders being fully ignored.

After Sidhu’s resignation plunged the celebration into turmoil, Channi met him and it was agreed to arrange a coordination panel of the celebration to take key choices. Sidhu has been made a part of the panel. 

Amid the continued disputes, Congress’ nationwide spokesperson Supriya Shrinate on Friday expressed the hope that its leaders “discuss extra in non-public and fewer in public.”
