Drone footage launched by Spain’s Geological and Mining institute (IGME) on Wednesday confirmed rivers of pink scorching lava flowing from La Palma’s Cumbre Vieja volcano within the seventh week of its eruption.
IGME and Spain’s Superior Council of Scientific Investigations (CSIC) footage from Nov. 2 confirmed volcanic tubes and torrents of molten rocks flowing quick by the assorted lava streams.
Spain’s navy emergency unit (UME) flew a drone close to the volcano to asses the evolution of eruption, exhibiting thermal photographs of lava streams.
For the reason that eruption started on Sept. 19, lava from the volcano has coated almost 900 hectares (2,200 acres) of land and destroyed greater than 2,500 buildings.
Greater than 7,000 individuals have needed to evacuate their houses, however nobody has died within the eruption.
