State-owned NHPC on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the district administration of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh for growth of inexperienced hydrogen applied sciences to supply hydrogen. The MoU was signed by NHPC CMD A Ok Singh and Deputy Commissioner and District Justice of the Peace of Chamba, D C Rana within the presence of state’s Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur; Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Ram Subhag Singh and different senior officers of the state authorities and the corporate.
“The MoU is for growth of inexperienced hydrogen applied sciences… As per the MoU, NHPC shall develop a pilot inexperienced hydrogen mobility mission together with hydrogen manufacturing. NHPC shall upscale hydrogen manufacturing on a business scale to provide the hydrogen wants…for sectors like mobility, transportation, heating, micro grid,” NHPC mentioned in an announcement.
This mission shall be executed by NHPC Renewable Vitality Restricted (NREL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NHPC. In addition to, the analysis and growth division of NHPC and Chamera-II Energy Station of NHPC shall be a part of the mission.
