BJP planning to contest all 60 seats in Manipur, talks on for pre-poll alliance

Meeting elections can be held in two-phases within the state on February 27 and March 3.

BJP’s ally within the state authorities, the Nationwide Folks’s Get together (NPP), has hinted at contesting the meeting polls by itself. Nationwide president of the NPP and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Ok Sangma stated that the celebration has finalised 30-plus candidates for Manipur meeting polls. The celebration plans to subject about 40 candidates.

The NPP contested 9 seats in 2017 and received 4 seats.

In Meghalaya, NPP is main the six-party coalition authorities, which is supported by BJP.
