The NSE Nifty50 index ended 103.5 factors down at 17221.4, whereas the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 329.06 factors at 57788.03.
Solar Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.52%), Kotak Mahindra Financial institution(up 1.47%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.12%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.0%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.94%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.92%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.81%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.5%), Tata Motors(up 0.46%) and NTPC(up 0.28%) stood among the many prime gainers within the Nifty pack.
However, Bajaj Finance(down 3.09%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.7%), Adani Ports & Particular Financial Zone(down 2.38%), Oil & Pure Fuel Company(down 2.01%), ITC(down 1.99%), Bharat Petroleum Company(down 1.88%), Indian Oil Company(down 1.87%), JSW Metal(down 1.76%), Wipro(down 1.62%) and Tata Consultancy(down 1.47%) closed within the purple.
