Those that consider in democracy and secularism should come collectively and draw up a “time-bound motion program”, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar stated after collaborating in a digital assembly of opposition leaders convened by Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday. He appreciated the initiative to arrange a gathering of like-minded events in view of the current circumstances within the nation, the previous Union minister stated on Twitter.
“The present situation in India seems very gloomy. Farmers are protesting for a lot of months, it is an anguishing image for a democratic nation like India. The nation is dealing with many points like inflation, financial slowdown, Covid mitigation, unemployment, border disputes, difficulty of the minority communities and so forth,” he tweeted.
The current authorities has failed to handle these points, he stated.
“Those that consider in democracy and secularism, those that prefer to work collectively for saving the democratic rules and ethos of our nation should come collectively,” Pawar stated.
“A time-bound motion program must be taken up collectively, and I strongly recommend that as a substitute of coping with all these points collectively, we should collectively prioritize every difficulty and remedy them one after the other to offer our nation current and future,” he stated.
A complete of 19 events together with the NCP and Shiv Sena participated within the assembly.
