Kolkata: State-run Coal India Ltd on Tuesday mentioned its board has accepted a pre-feasibility report for establishing an built-in aluminium venture in Odisha.

“CIL in its board assembly held on date had accorded its in-principle approval to pre-feasibility report for establishing of built-in greenfield aluminium venture in Odisha which shall embody bauxite mining, alumina refinery, aluminium smelter and related captive energy plant by its wholly owned subsidiary Mahanadi coalfields Restricted,” the coal behemoth mentioned in a regulatory submitting.
The Maharatna PSU accounts for over 80 per cent of home coal output and has experience in mining.
