Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday requested Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and different judges to look into the problem of separation of powers of the Centre and the states.
“When the Structure was made, some consultants questioned Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar (one of many key architects of the Indian Structure) asking concerning the powers of the state and whether or not the Centre can be the boss of all of the states. At the moment, he (Ambedkar) mentioned that states, barring a couple of, would have equal powers with the Centre. Are we (states) utilizing these powers at the moment?” Thackeray requested.
