Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal introduced on Tuesday 4 extra candidates for the Punjab meeting polls to be held subsequent 12 months, taking the whole variety of names introduced up to now to 74. Baldev Singh Mann has been fielded from Sunam whereas Harpal Juneja will contest from Patiala City seat, stated senior SAD chief Daljit Singh Cheema.
Former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief Gobind Singh Longwal can be fielded from Lehra and Hardev Singh Megh from the Balluana meeting phase.
The SAD had in June allied with the Bahujan Samaj Occasion (BSP) for elections to the 117-member Punjab meeting.
In response to the seat-sharing association, the Mayawati-led BSP will battle in 20 of the 117 meeting seats in Punjab, whereas the remainder can be contested by the SAD.
