In a press release, SA Nationwide Defence Drive (SANDF) spokesperson, Brigadier-Normal Andries Mahapa, mentioned Workers Sergeant Johan Andries van Rooyen, 51, died at Stage 2 Hospital on Saturday.
“[He] reported at Mihluri base, the place he offered with a extreme headache and chest complication earlier than being transferred to hospital,” Mahapa mentioned.
His physique can be repatriated to SA, the place the defence power and his household would finalise his funeral preparations, Mahapa added.

Van Rooyen was from the two Area Engineer Regiment in Kroonstad.
A Southern African Growth Neighborhood Further-Strange Summit of Heads of State and Governments, held in Maputo in June final yr, accepted a regional mission to help Mozambique, referred to as SAMIM.
The mission contains forces from SA, Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.
