A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at a number of places throughout the nation linked to Chinese language smartphone producer Vivo, Beijing has responded, saying it hopes for a good probe.
The ED raided at the very least 44 locations throughout India on Tuesday in a money-laundering investigation towards Vivo and associated corporations.
Sources advised information company ANI that Vivo administrators Zhengshen Ou and Zhang Jie fled from India as ED intensified its inquiries.
The searches had been carried out underneath sections of the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA) at places in a number of states together with Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Maharashtra.
