New Delhi, Jun 10: In a landmark choice, the Centre has revised the Indian Navy personnel’s sea going allowance that’s given for threat and hardships that they face whereas being deployed at sea.
“A landmark choice has been taken by the Authorities of India to deal with the present anomaly with respect to the compensatory allowance for Danger & Hardships (Sea Going Allowance) confronted by personnel of Indian Navy whereas being deployed at sea,” defence ministry stated in a press release.
“This may additional improve the resolve and morale of the devoted Naval personnel who’re deployed for operations in Excessive Danger Areas, Anti-Piracy Operations, Maritime Safety and IMBL Patrols and many others, defending our maritime pursuits in Indian Ocean and past,” it added.
