Sangma stated, “If the act repealed then there can be nothing to control the gaming. Meghalaya Regulation of Gaming Act, 2021 is important to control the present playing parlours, which have been working for the previous 25 years within the state.”

He added,”Since we’re a income deficit state, we want income. Although we’re getting a share of taxes from the central authorities, we have now to broaden our areas of tax assortment avenues. We might face an enormous downside in future if we don’t enhance our income. We’d like funds for the proposed and ongoing actions for the welfare of the folks. ”
