Chandigarh, Could 18: The protesting farmers in Chandigarh have agreed to finish their agitation following a gathering with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The assembly lasted for greater than two-and-a-half hours.
A gathering between Mann and a number of other farmer leaders passed off at Punjab Bhawan to debate their calls for, together with a bonus on wheat and starting paddy sowing from June 10.
“They (Punjab Govt) have accepted our calls for,” stated Jagjit Singh Dallewal, BKU.
“CM Bhagwant Mann will discuss to Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah relating to the Bhakra Beas Administration Board concern. MSP shall be given on Maize and CM has promised that Basmati shall be bought at a very good worth,” stated Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.
“CM has stated to farmers’ leaders that now they do not have to take a seat on a protest. Give us a while and we are going to remedy the whole lot,” he added.
