Former chairman of the Committee of Directors of Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vinod Rai has spoken about his remorse over the state of affairs of ladies’s cricket in India in a current interview with The Week. “I sincerely imagine the women deserved a lot better [when it came to] coaching, teaching services, cricketing gear, journey services and, lastly, match charges and retainers. That was missing and we tried to rectify it,” Mr Rai mentioned.
He additionally added that girls’s cricket received its due consideration after India reached the ultimate of the 2017 ICC World Cup, by which Harmanpreet Kaur performed a knock of 171 not out to energy India to the ultimate.
