Former Assam Congress president and Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday in Kolkata shortly after he introduced his resignation.
The TMC in a tweet welcomed Bora and mentioned. “Delighted to welcome Shri @ripunbora, Former Minister of Panchayat & Rural Growth, Minister of Training in Assam, former Rajya Sabha MP & former President of Assam Pradesh Congress committee! The information comes hours after News18 reported that the previous Rajya Sabha MP has been made to grasp that there isn’t any future within the Congress and proper now becoming a member of the TMC is the most suitable choice. Bora alleged that senior Congress leaders are protecting an in depth relationship with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
In the meantime, CM Himanta Sarma mentioned Bora’s resolution was Congress’s inner matter, including, “one factor is for positive that within the not too long ago concluded Rajya Sabha election, Congress MLAs didn’t vote for Ripun Bora.”
