New Delhi, Mar 14: The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has issued a yellow alert with a warning of a heatwave in north Konkan, Thane, Mumbai and Raigad for right this moment.
IMD in its district smart forecast has said that extreme warmth wave circumstances could proceed will proceed until March 15 in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and climate circumstances could normalise from March 17 onwards.
”We have now issued a extreme warmth wave warning for right this moment and tomorrow for the areas of Northern Konkan which incorporates Palghar, Mumbai and Thane. For March 16, we’ve issued a warmth wave warning for your complete Konkan area,” Dr Jayanta Sarkar, Head, IMD Mumbai stated.
Heat circumstances endured in Mumbai on Monday with the IMD’s Santacruz observatory recording a most temperature of 38.6 diploma, whereas the Colaba one recorded a most temperature of 37.6 levels.
On Sunday, Mumbai recorded a temperature of 38.6 levels Celsius and the climate workplace has sounded a temperature alert within the metropolis for the subsequent few days and has warned that the temperature could rise as much as 39 levels Celsius.
