Speaking to reporters after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot introduced the Finances for the 12 months 2022-23, Poonia kicked up an argument by saying: “It appears to be a ‘daubed up’ price range. It looks as if a dark-complexioned bride has been taken to a magnificence parlour and introduced after a superb make-up.” Mahila Congress president Netta D’Souza termed Poonia’s comment “reprehensible” and “outrageous”.
