Police are within the midst of an operation to filter out the so-called “Freedom Convoy” that has been encamped for 22 days within the nation’s capital, with greater than 100 people arrested thus far, some convoy organizers issuing requires contributors to retreat, and snow barricades being constructed up on the streets.
The operation by regulation enforcement and tactical groups from a number of jurisdictions has been largely peaceable although police are geared up with tear fuel and a spread of different regulation enforcement instruments of their bid to take away the encampment. Police say greater than 100 folks are actually in custody, together with Pat King, a distinguished organizer with the demonstrations.
