Based on stories, Chandini Naz, an English lecturer at Jain Pre College School of Tumkur in her resignation letter, which has surfaced on social media, disclosed that she had been carrying a hijab inside the faculty for the final three years.
“Resigning from my place of lecturer of English topic as you demanded (from) me to take away my Hijab which I’ve been carrying for 3 years in your faculty,” learn the resignation letter addressed to the faculty principal, dated 16 February.
“Proper to faith is a constitutional proper which no person may deny… I condemn your undemocratic act,” Chandini wrote.
This comes a day after the Karnataka authorities on Thursday had ordered that the scholars finding out in colleges managed by the minority welfare division together with the Maulana Azad Mannequin English Medium colleges within the state mustn’t put on saffron scarves, Hijab or any spiritual flags.
