Airtel’s web providers suffered a widespread, momentary outage in India on Friday morning. Customers took to social media to report the outage that appeared to have impacted Airtel Fiber in addition to it’s cell web providers. #Airteldown started trending on Twitter.
Downdetector, a platform that tracks such outages had obtained over 7,400 consumer experiences of points with the service at round 11:30 am. 51 per cent reported ‘whole blackout’ whereas 33 per cent reported points with cell web. Airtel acknowledged the problem at 12 pm, including that the problem had been resolved.
“Our web providers had a quick disruption and we deeply remorse the inconvenience this will have induced you. Every little thing is again as regular now, as our groups hold working to ship a seamless expertise to our clients,” Airtel tweeted from its official Airtel India assist account (@Airtel_Presence).
The outage was resulting from a technical glitch, Airtel confirmed.
“Our web providers have been disrupted for roughly 5 minutes right now morning resulting from a technical glitch. This was instantly tackled and the community was totally normalised throughout the subsequent 10 minutes. We deeply remorse the inconvenience induced to our clients,” stated an Airtel spokesperson. in a press release
