Drone drops explosives close to India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, flees after BSF opens fireplace
A drone was sighted close to the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar within the wee hours on Wednesday, information company ANI reported. Taking immediate motion, BSF jawans opened fireplace on the drone following which it flew again in direction of Pakistan.
A search operation was carried out by the BSF officers. They discovered explosives at two spots.
“At this time at about 12:50 am, troops in Panjgrain heard buzzing of suspected flying object coming from Pakistan aspect to India,” the BSF assertion mentioned.
“A search operation was launched within the villages of Ghaggar and Singhoke. Two packets of yellow color with suspected contraband recovered,” it added.
In the meantime, a bigger search operation has been launched within the area.
