“Search and rescue operations are at present underway.Specialised groups have been airlifted to help in rescue operations,” Defence PRO Tezpur stated on Monday.
The realm has been witnessing inclement climate with heavy snowfall since the previous couple of days. The sparsely populated, forested Kameng sector is positioned at heights of over 14,000 toes and borders Bhutan and China.
