BJP swept the polls within the Thengal Kachari Autonomous council successful 14 seats out 22 seats.
Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Landslide victory of @BJP4Assam & coalition events in Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council elections has reaffirmed folks’s religion in our Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji. Congratulations to our karyakartas whose honest efforts have resulted on this final result”.
Whereas Congress received 4 seats, Asom Gana Parishad begged three seats, one seat was received by unbiased.
