Studies counsel the choice was taken after Rawat met Congress leaders. He’s prone to be part of Congress, sources stated.
Rawat was looking for a ticket from Lansdowne meeting seat for his daughter-in-law Anukreethy. The BJP had in December stated that Rawat’s reported “resignation” has been addressed and nobody goes wherever. BJP MLA Umesh Sharma Kau had stated the problem has been settled with the intervention of the central management and Chief Minister.
The Congress had claimed Rawat will come again into its fold as he was not pleased with the saffron social gathering and was feeling “suffocated.”
BJP youth wing nationwide secretary and Uttarakhand in-charge Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga had slammed the report and in a tweet stated, “Good day Congress, Cease dreaming for Uttarakhand. We’re one and United.”
Studies of tensions inside the social gathering and speculations have been triggered after he left a high-level assembly in a huff after a proposal for a medical school in his meeting constituency Kotdwar was not being cleared by the cupboard.
Each Harak Singh Rawat and Kau have been amongst ten MLAs who had rebelled in opposition to Congress chief and former chief minister Harish Rawat in 2016 and crossed over to the BJP.
Rawat’s dismissal comes forward of the election to the 70-member Uttarakhand Meeting, to be held on February 14. The counting of votes will happen on March 10.
