Mumbai, Jan 02: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 11,877 recent COVID-19 circumstances, 2,707 greater than the day earlier than, and 50 Omicron infections, the state well being division mentioned in a bulletin.
The state additionally reported 9 deaths. Of the 11,877 circumstances, 7,792 are from Mumbai, the bulletin mentioned.
Nonetheless, as per the Mumbai civic physique, the variety of new circumstances is 8,063. On Saturday, Maharashtra had reported 9,170 COVID-19 circumstances.
Of the 50 Omicron infections, 36 are from Pune Municipal Company areas, eight from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Company limits, two every from Pune rural and Sangli, and one every from Mumbai and Thane.
The state has reported 510 such circumstances up to now of which 193 sufferers recovered.
