New Delhi, Dec 20: Over 2,000 staff together with linesmen and engineers of Jammu and Kashmir’ energy transmission and distribution companies are on a strike since Saturday. They’ve been protesting towards the choice to privatise property and delay in cost of salaries.
Because of this one third of Jammu is with out energy and this has promoted the administration to hunt the assistance of the Indian Military. Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer wrote a letter to to the Defence Ministry and sought personnel.
“We wish to hereby requisition the Indian Military to help within the restoration of important providers by provisioning manpower to man important electrical energy stations and water provide sources,” says the letter.
Whereas giant components of Jammu plunged into darkness, the state of affairs was no completely different in Kashmir. Outages have been reported from many components together with Srinagar. The J&Ok administration had introduced the merger of the Energy Transmission Company Restricted (PTCL) and the Energy Distribution Company Restricted (PTDL) with the Energy Grid Company of India.
Reviews stated that the disruptions are more likely to proceed because the talks between the hanging staff and the administration failed once more on Sunday.
