At the very least 13 individuals have been killed because the Indian Military opened fireplace on civilians in Nagaland State which borders Myanmar on Saturday. It was claimed that the troopers thought the villagers had been militants.
The military claimed in a press release that: “The incident is deeply regretted. The reason for the lack of lives is being investigated beneath the course of legislation.”
The incident happened throughout a counterinsurgency operation carried out by the Indian safety forces, because the troopers started firing at a truck carrying coal-mine labourers, they mistook the miners to be rebels and fired at them.
After the incident, residents angered by their motion stormed the army base and burned their automobiles. The Indian Military have nonetheless, retaliated and commenced a second assault.
