In a recent case of fratricide, no less than 2 Tripura State Rifle Jawans had been killed after one in all their colleagues went on a capturing spree on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at ONGC GCS situated at Madhupur, Konaban beneath Tripura’s Sephajala district.
All of the Jawans belonged to the fifth Battalion of the Tripura Police Division (TPD). After the incident, the accused jawan surrendered earlier than the Police station with arms and ammunition.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has introduced a compensation of Rs 5 Lakhs every to the bereaved households, the TPD knowledgeable.
