Division of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, on Friday identified that Starlink Web Providers will not be licensed to supply satellite-based web providers in India being marketed to the general public.
In response to a press launch issued by the ministry, it has come to note that Starlink has began pre-selling/ reserving the satellite-based Starlink Web Providers in India.
For rendering satellite-based providers in India, requisite license(s) from the Division of Telecommunications is required, the Ministry mentioned within the assertion.
The mentioned firm has not obtained any license/authorisation for rendering satellite-based web providers which might be being booked on their web site, it added.
Accordingly, the federal government has requested the corporate to adjust to the Indian regulatory framework for rendering the satellite-based communication providers and chorus from reserving/rendering the satellite tv for pc Web providers in India with instant impact.
