Sidhu had cornered the earlier Captain-led authorities over the problem of alleged inaction on the drug concern within the state. The year-long feud between Captain and Sidhu finally led to the previous’s resignation from the place of chief minister.
Nevertheless, Captain’s removing didn’t pacify Sidhu’s aspirations to take a seat on the highest place because the Congress’ prime management gave the state’s reigns by the hands of Channi, leaving the cricketer-turned-politician sulking.
