Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was left red-faced on Tuesday when a lot of lecturers from his state advised him that they’re having to foyer native MLAs and pay money to get transfers and new posts. What was extra embarrassing was that the state training minister, Govind Dotasra, was on stage with Gehlot when the incident passed off.
A clip of the interplay, which has now gone viral on social media, reveals Gehlot asking the general public if the problem of lecturers having to pay money is certainly true. The gang responds with a loud ‘sure’, leaving the chief minister momentarily shocked.
“Paise dene padhte hai kya? Kamaal hai!” he says when the group responds in affirmative.
He then assures the group that he’ll look into the criticism. “It’s very unlucky lecturers must pay cash for switch. A coverage wants to return in place,” he mentioned.
Dotasra, who addressed the lecturers after Gehlot, was quoted by information company ANI: “It (paying money for transfers) can be scrapped with the implementation of a coverage for the switch of lecturers.”
