Climate change: The Indian village that could disappear under water

Uppada, a coastal village within the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, is thought for its distinctive weaving custom.

However its existence is below risk due to rising sea ranges.

A number of folks have been displaced as heavy coastal erosion has damaged their homes and broken properties.

They’re now settling additional away from the coast.

Local weather researchers say the neighbouring metropolis of Kakinada – simply 16 miles away – is also submerged in 80 years.
