Video captured the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma ejecting a lava bomb, with the molten rock dashing down the hillside after it was hurled out of the crater on Wednesday.
A lava bomb is shaped when a volcano spews giant fragments throughout an eruption. The lava cools into strong items earlier than they attain the bottom. Lava bombs or volcanic bombs are labeled as having a diameter of greater than 64 mm.
In the meantime, the volcano’s lava continued to advance by the Spanish island on Friday, forming giant partitions of exhausting, black rock.
Greater than a month has handed since its preliminary eruption, and the volcano has destroyed greater than 2,000 buildings, in line with official estimates.
