State-owned Energy Grid Company of India Ltd’s (PGCIL) board on Tuesday okayed an funding of Rs 14.23 crore for an electrical automobile charging station in Navi Mumbai and to create an arm to undertake telecom and digital know-how companies.
The board in its assembly on Tuesday permitted the funding approval for “organising of electrical automobile charging station in Navi Mumbai underneath the FAME India Scheme Part-II” at an estimated price of Rs 14.23 crore, in line with a BSE submitting.
It added that the commissioning schedule is 12 months for the charging station and 24 months for different infrastructures resembling kiosks and bathrooms from the date of settlement to be signed between POWERGRID and Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT).
It additionally acknowledged that the board permitted the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary of PowerGrid to undertake its telecommunications and digital know-how enterprise.
