Advocate Common Siddhartha Shankar Dey argued that the assertion of the chief minister was misinterpreted and introduced to achieve political mileage. Screenshots of the chief minister’s assertion in social media had been produced within the courtroom.
The chief minister in social media had acknowledged “The reporting of my speech on 25/9/21 is being twisted and wrongly reported to some print and digital media to mission disregard to the judiciary and judicial establishments. I firmly and unequivocally make clear that I maintain all of the judicial establishments in highest esteem and likewise am obligation sure to uphold the majesty of the judiciary”.
He added, “I’ve not informed the officers and even remotely meant to convey any message to ignore courts or disrespect courtroom orders as reported. My phrases have been printed out of context,” the assertion reads.
Within the video the Chief Minister whereas addressing the twenty sixth biennial convention of TCS Officers at Rabindra Bhavan mentioned that he’ll take care of circumstances of contempt. Deb mentioned, “the Courtroom might give the order however who will adjust to the order is the police, police is beneath me”.
