The US Geological Survey mentioned it is seemingly that casualties are “excessive” after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck close to Haiti Saturday morning.
“Excessive casualties are possible and the catastrophe is probably going widespread,” based on the USGS.
Haiti’s Civil Safety informed CNN there have been fatalities and injury.
The earthquake was about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) northeast of Saint-Louis-du-Sud and 10 kilometers deep, based on the US Geological Survey (USGS).
“There are studies of serious injury to houses, roads, and infrastructure,” American Pink Cross spokeswoman Katie Wilkes mentioned.
